À Rotorua: Super site pour camper auprès du lac, c'est un camping DOC, cad que c'est juste une place dans un envrionement naturel sans aucune installation. On s'est fait un super repas dans notre van (avec pour ma part 4 couches de vetements!) et dans la nuit il a fait une mini-tempete (pluie et un vent hallucinant). Mais au matin: super vue depuis notre dodo.
For our first night in Rotorua we chose to stay in a DOC (Department of Conservation) campsite, many of which are dotted around the country. They're very basic, but then also rather cheaper than the standard campsites. We had a fantastic view over Lake Okareka, cooked a great meal on the single burner of our stove and parked the van so that we'd have the glories of the sunrise shining in through the rear windscreen in the morning...except that there was an overnight storm which hammered the van. Still, it had mostly cleared up by the time we got up.
